Netwerkzone is the data controller for the processing of personal data as described in this policy.

Which data do we process?

The data we process about you depends on how you work with us. In most cases, this includes:

  • Name, company name and contact details (e-mail, phone number).
  • Billing details (address, VAT number) if you become a customer.
  • Technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages viewed on our site (via analytics).
  • Content of messages you send us via forms, e-mail or other channels.

We deliberately ask for as little data as possible and only what we need to be able to help you.

Why do we process this data?

We use your data only for clear and legitimate purposes, such as:

  • Answering your message or request for a demo or proposal.
  • Preparing and performing an agreement (project, subscription, support contract).
  • Improving our website, services and marketing based on anonymised statistics.
  • Complying with legal obligations, such as accounting and tax rules.

The main legal bases are: performance of a contract, legitimate interest and (where required) your consent, for example for cookies or newsletters.

Use of AI & automation

Netwerkzone uses AI tools (such as language models) to support certain internal processes, for example when drafting concept texts or running technical analyses. We take care to protect privacy:

  • We do not share sensitive data with AI services unless this is strictly necessary.
  • Where possible, we anonymise information or use test data.
  • We prefer suppliers that operate within the EU or comply with GDPR-level safeguards.

If you do not want your data to be used in combination with AI tools, please let us know and we will take this into account.

Cookies & analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. With simple analytics cookies we gain insight into how the site is used so we can improve it. Where required, we ask for your consent via the cookie banner.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Please note that some parts of the site may no longer work optimally if you block all cookies.

How long do we store data?

We do not store your data longer than necessary for the purpose for which we collected it, unless we are required by law to keep it longer.

  • Contact requests: usually up to 12 months after the last contact moment.
  • Customer and billing data: up to 7 years, in line with tax retention rules.
  • Analytics data: according to the standard retention periods of the analytics tools we use.

When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it where possible.

Sharing data with third parties

We do not sell your data to third parties. We only share data when this is really necessary, for example with:

  • Hosting and e-mail providers that run our servers and mailboxes.
  • Trusted software providers (such as accounting or analytics services).
  • Tax authorities or other public bodies if we are legally obliged to do so.

With parties that process data on our behalf we sign data processing agreements that include arrangements on security and confidentiality.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have several rights regarding your personal data. You can ask us to:

  • Access the data we process about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Delete data, where this is legally possible.
  • Restrict the processing of your data in certain situations.
  • Transfer your data (data portability), where technically feasible.

You can also object to certain types of processing, for example direct marketing. You can exercise your rights by contacting us at info@netwerkzone.nl.

Questions or complaints

If you have any questions about this privacy policy or if you disagree with the way we handle your data, please contact us first. We will do our best to resolve the issue together.

If we cannot resolve the matter, you can lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. In the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time, for example if our services change or if the law requires it. This page always shows the most recent version. We recommend revisiting this policy every now and then.
